Question: what does it mean to have two periods in one month? i'm 16 and i've had my period for about 4 years. this is the first time this has happened but i had two periods last month. one started on october 1st and ended october 6th and then the other started october 26th and ended the 31st. they both were similar and the second one hurt like periods usually do. i am taking pain medicine for my period cramps called anaprox ds and i'm not sure if that had something to do with it. i've been on that medication for quite some time now so i don't think that is it. does anyone know what is wrong?
Answer: Make an appointment with an Ob-Gyn. I had this happen to me when I was 19. I had a cyst on my ovary. It didn't cause me pain but I had to get it under control. Don't hesitate to get it checked out. If you don't, it could cause you more problems down the road.
Question: Help! What can I do to alleviate this pain? It's Anaprox DS 550 MG
I have a bad tooth ache. I've been to the dentist. He gave me an antibiotic and Anaprox DS 550. I am still in pain, last night I took the Anaprox at 11:30 I fell asleep but woke up ar 3 am in pain, so I took a couple Tylenol. That helped some.
I was wondering is that safe to do, take Anaprox with Tylenol.
Answer: Misuse of over-the-counter drugs can have serious consequences. Do not assume that a product is safe because it doesn't require a prescription. They don't do anything to change the basic problem. If you can get along without them, it's usually best to do so. Because dosages change and because we often discover new things even about common drugs, you should carefully read the instructions that come with each medication. Always remember. And good luck.
Question: Does Naproxen Sodium contain aspirin? It's prescription Naproxen Sodium (generic for Anaprox ds) 550 mg. I take it for severe menstrual cramps, however I am going for surgery in 4 days and am not supposed to take anything containing aspirin?
Thanks in advance, hope you can help!!
Answer: IMPORTANT:
It doesn't, but your surgeon still needs to be aware that you are taking it.
And YOU should not be getting your information about anything this important from anonymous amateurs like me who don't know anything about you.
ASK YOUR DOCTOR.
Question: Is there a liquid ibuprofen with codeine available in the US and if so, what is it called? Because of stomach surgery, I cannot take the Anaprox DS for my migraine headaches. I have tried Tylenol 3 w/codeine and Lortab (in liquid form) which seems to help, but may be having an allergic reaction from it.
Because of stomach surgery, I cannot take the Anaprox DS for my migraine headaches. Because I have no acids in my stomach anymore, I cannot take it as it will not dissolve. I have tried Tylenol 3 w/codeine and Lortab (in liquid form) which seems to help, but may be having an allergic reaction from it.
Liquid is the only way for me to get quick pain relief.

Question: Chest pain....? I've been having very sharp/stabbing pains in my chest. I have a fast heart rate... it's usually around 95, but it dropped to 84 on Friday and now to 77. I went to the ER last night and they just took a chest x-ray and said it's chest wall inflammation. They gave me a prescription for Anaprox DS and sent me home. The pain is getting worse and more frequent and I wonder if there could be something else wrong that wouldn't have shown on the chest x-ray. They didnt even bother to do an EKG. It seemed as if he was in a hurry to get me out of there. He wasn't even interested in my family history of heart disease. I don't have health insurance and I think they didn't want to perform more tests because of that. Should I see a different doctor to get a second opinion?
Also, the pain gets worse when I take a deep breath. I feel the pain more on both right and left sides but not so much in the middle.
Answer: Go and insist on an ECG. This is not something to ignore. If they won't do it, go to a different hospital.
