Caffeine Tablets
Question: caffeine tablets? hey guys,
does anyone know the standard mass of a caffeine tablet? I'm writing up a bio lab plan about the effect of caffeine on heart rate, and I need to know the measurements.
thanks!
Answer: Google it!
Question: What is the chemistry behind the reaction of caffeine tablets and Coke? I dropped a couple of caffeine tablets into a bottle of Coke. It soon began fizzing a lot, sort of like the Mentos + Diet Coke cocktail only it did not explode (but it lasted way longer). Any explanation re: the chemical process behind this reaction? Thanks.
Answer: The reaction you are seeing is more of a physics concept than a chemistry one. The shiny surfaces on mentos, square gum, some medicine tablets, all have what are known as nucleation points. These nucleation points act like a catalyst in causing the CO2 gas to separate out from the liquid. I even tried putting a stick of artist's charcoal into diet coke and even that causes stimulated fizzing for as long as it is in there. Good question though.
Question: What are the side affects if you mix Advil with caffeine tablets? I am doing research for a story I am writing and I am not sure if there are any side affects for taking Advil/Ibuprofen/Tylenol with caffeine tablets.
Answer: I don't think the side effects are different from what is listed on each package or any of the "migraine" products out there, like Advil Migraine(or one of the anti-inflammatory migraine pills) or Excedrin which is just aspirin, tylenol and caffeine combination. I have migraines and tried all of these products. The only side effects I've ever had with the combo products is a little stomach upset (might have been the headache though) and a rebound headache from all of the caffiene. To summarize read each package, then check a combo package and see how it compares.
Question: Are caffeine tablets a better alternative? I know that lots of coffee isn't very good for you. Red bull is worse. But I get tired so easily these days and need to stay awake for all my uni work. Are caffeine tablets like pro plus and yeast rite better alternatives?
Answer: Caffeine tablets are not a better solution. It is much easier to overdose, on accident, with them. Also, tea and coffee have at least some antioxidants, where the pills don't. You are right, too much caffeine (in any form) is not good for you. I'd recommend reorganizing your schedule as best possible, getting enough sleep, eating healthily, and exercising to boost you energy level. If you still have problems, then see your doctor. Excessive fatigue may be a sign of illness.
Stay away from red bull. Way too much caffeine and sugar.
Best of luck.
Question: How would aspirin and caffeine tablets react together? If you were to take say a 200mg caffeine tablet and a maximum strength aspirin together, what would happen? Would they have any affect on each other at all?
Answer: from my experience caffeine makes pain pills work really well how ever that was hydrocodone not aspirin but i would expect the same results
Question: can you tell me some names of caffeine tablets available in Hyderabad? as i suffer from sinus problem even after medication i feel very slum, mind completely blocked or lack of concentration and memory loss. so i thought of taking slight dose of caffeine which can enhance the my mental ability and concentration. please tell me som names of caffeine tablets.
Answer: talk to the shady looking guy in the dark alley, he'll have tons of caffeine tablets. they may be a little pricey though....
Question: Do caffeine tablets put a strain on your heart? I'm (recovering) bulimic so my heart is already under a lot of strain but sometimes I'm so tired and run down so I've been taking caffeine tablets as a sort of pick me up but I don't want to cause myself any more damage. I know red bull is really bad for you but I'm not sure if that is because it's so concentrated with caffeine. Thank you x
Answer: not if you dont overdo them. It is just like 2 cups of coffee...take only when necessary.
Question: Are caffeine tablets a good idea for a 3 hour exam? I have glandular fever and am always fatigued, just curious as to weather these kind of tablets wear off after a certain period of time?
Answer: They aren't bad for you as a one off and they can help you stay awake, but they aren't a long term solution. They will wear off after a while and you will get the symptoms of caffeine withdrawal. For one exam they should be ok, but you might start to feel tired and get a headache by the end of it.
Question: Can caffeine tablets kill you? I heard that caffeine tablets can kill a person. Is that true? And if so, what is the lethal dose and what exactly would be the cause of death? Also would the tablets lose the effect if you dilute them?
Answer: Caffeine pills can increase your heart rate to the point that you have a heart attack. An overdose can cause tremors, sweats, inability to focus or pay attention, tunnel-vision, hearing impairment, seizures and permanent heart problems - to include heart attack.
The lethal dose depends entirely upon the person - height/weight, previous exposure to caffeine, and any underlying medical issues already impacting the person.
If diluted - as in, if you only take one or two - yes, they do lose their effectiveness. If diluted in water or other liquid, yes, they don't so much lose their effectiveness as just lose their compact nature - you gotta drink the entire bit of liquid to get the same effect as just popping the one pill.
Question: What will 12 200mg vivarin caffeine tablets do if taked all at one time? My brother just ate 12 should I be worried?
Answer: 12 X 200 = 2400mg of caffeine.
That is far above what a normal person can handle.
Unless your bro takes these caffeine tablets on a regular basis and has built up a tolerance to caffeine, he just took way too many to be safe.
I'd say puke em up before they kick in and he has a heart attack or something.
Question: Caffeine tablets? Does anyone know if caffeine and glucose tablets can cause depression? I have been taking these tablets for about two months to give me more energy in my job,I was taking double than recommanded on packet, but I have started to feel really down,Im not really depressed type but last couple weeks really down, even suicid thoughts although just fleeting I wouldn't actually do that, but I wonder if it is the caffeine? My work gets me down too,but anyone know about these tablets. Thanks
Answer: Caffeine tablets and glucose tablets or caffeine with glucose tablets?
Caffeine and glucose are really two different drugs; glucose can temporarily raise blood sugar levels but also glucose can toy with (roller coaster) blood sugar levels for some persons sensitive to sugars. That's my understanding.
Kaiser hospital did a study in the early 1990's or so where the conclusion was that those who drank coffee had lower suicide rates than those who did not drink coffee/used other kinds of drugs as I recall.
At the same time, people respond to caffeine differently. A caffeine tablet has a lot to it than just caffeine so what you feel is associated with the tablets may be due to some other ingredient in the caffeine tablet, not just the caffeine or the glucose.
Written cautions on some caffeine tablets are along the lines of: too much caffeine may cause nervousness, irritability, sleeplessness, and, occasionally, rapid heart beat.
You might consider discontinuing the tablets and see how your mood changes. Coffees and teas have been used by humankind for hundreds of years. Some persons find coffee/caffeine unwanted, for them, and choose to avoid it. Good luck.
Question: what is the long effect of using caffeine tablets? what is the long effect of using caffeine tables ?
Answer: Caffeine, if you like it or not, is a drug. The chemicals in caffeine replace your bodies natural chemicals in the brain, telling you to be in a happy mood. If you take them for a long time, for example, then stop taking them, you are going to feel extremely fatigued and worn out and maybe even a little depressed. The reason for this is because the chemicals from caffeine, sugar, weed, cocaine, heroin, and many other drugs, go to a part of our brain that controls natural instincts. this part of the brain gets used to receiving these chemicals, so when you stop, your brain is going to crave them, and tell your body you need it to survive.
Question: is it normal for Pro plus caffeine tablets to make you need the toilet more often? Have had only had 2 over the last 7 hours and despite having not eaten since before the first one they've been emptying my stomach out every couple of hours. Is this normal?
Answer: Dear Whoever this may concern,
If you have taken those tablets then it might be a severe case of vilogisius disease. In some cases of this disease some people become more aroused, but then some also become more open to catching other infections such as JBD, which can result to the loss of hair, or even in many cases...blindness. The only way to cure this disease is to bathe in lizard urine, which will drain the toxins out of your skin, thus curing your ilness, and/or symptoms.
Question: What are good caffeine tablets to get? Also how many should I take a day?
Cheers
Answer: Proplus do the job. They are pretty cheap and you can get them in most shops.
Taking them everyday is a bad idea though, just take them when you need them cos they can mess up your sleep patterns etc.
Question: In the UK, do you have to be 18 or over to buy caffeine tablets? For example Pro Plus??
I really need some but want to save myself the potential embarrassment if I try to buy some and I get refused?
I'm thinking I might try in Sainsbury's. Do they have their own policy?
Answer: no u dont, u should try buying caffiene powder off the internet, its meant to be like pro plus but a lot better. I think u only need to be like 14 or over to but pro plus
Question: Pro plus Caffeine tablets and Pararcetamol? I took Pro Plus tablets around about 11 sh and started getting headaches as a side affect from the tablets so around12sh the headaches got too much and I took some paracetamol and I've psyched myself out that something horrible is going to happen to me, what effect exactly will it have on my body from taking these tablets within an hour of each other?
Answer: Nothing, somthing would of happened by now or you would of been sick.
Question: Can it be dangerous to mix Red Bull & Caffeine Tablets? Any danger in swallowing 4 Pro-Plus Caffeine tabs and washing it down with a large Red Bull first thing in the morning?
Answer: The likelihood is that you will have the jitters on a grand scale.
Also, your hair may begin to curl spontaneously, your toe nails will grow at an alarming rate and your testicles may actually jump back inside your body.
Is this a risk you are willing to take???
I would suggest that you stop having any kind of social life and take to your bed immediately.
Question: Would it hurt to take three Caffeine Pro Plus tablets in an hour if the stated max dose is two? Three tablets would only be 150mg after all - just 1.5 cups coffee. I am looking to use it for a running race, but don't want to drink coffee in case I feel like urinating mid-race.
Answer: I'm not sure what the caffeine content is in those pills but if it is comparable to No-Doz Max strength then it would take about 51 pills to kill you if you weigh 150 lbs. So you would just feel a bit more jittery if you took three.
check out the site below, you can put in what you are taking and your weight and it will calculate how many it would take to die.
By the way it would take 70 cups of coffee at 150 lbs to kill you.
Question: Is overdosing on Pro plus caffeine tablets dangerous? I hav a lot of work i need to do which means taking a lot of these
Answer: Yes, overdosing on any drug is dangerous... caffeine is no exception. You can severely damage your heart if you overdose on caffeine.
If you would like other options for energy that aren't harmful drugs, there are several natural options available. The most popular energy boosters are B-12, Royal Jelly (and other bee-based products), L-Carnitine, Ribose, Ginseng, Guarana and Green Tea (both are natural sources of caffeine).
Question: can no doz or other caffeine tablets be purchased at wal-mart? anyone know where one can acquire some?
Answer: Yes. Get the store brand at Wal-Mart instead of No Doz. It's a lot cheaper.
