Cyclessa
Question: I left my Cyclessa birth control pills in my car for 4 hours. Will they still work? It was 9 am when I left them, and it wasn't too hot outside. When I got them at 1 pm, it was 84 degrees outside. I left them under the seat in a plastic grocery bag. They are in their original plastic blister pack.
Answer: i won't lie i have no idea, but i would call your doctor/hospital and just ask one of the on call nurses, they should know!
Question: well i take Cyclessa birth control but i dont get my period til sunday? but im having brown discharge, what does this mean. ive been on b/c for about 5 months now
and ive never had this before.
Answer: Brown discharge is just old blood . There is nothing to worry about.
Question: How long does it take for breasts to grow larger from taking birth control (Cyclessa)?
Answer: Breasts won't necessarily grow from birth control. A common side affect of b.c. is swollen or tender breasts, not breast development. Unless you gain weight, and sometimes not even then, or you're predisposed to a certain breast size, you won't gain bigger breasts.
Question: I switched birth controls from Cyclessa to Yaz I started the Yaz when I would've started my other one ? do I need to use back-up protection even though I never stopped taking the pill?
Answer: I would use condoms for seven days~just incase.
Question: what is the diffrence between ortho tri cyclyn lo and cyclessa birth control? i just wanted to know im going to take birth control and im new to this
Answer: Not sure but I'd avoid the generic form of ortho tri cyclen. I took it for one month and it made me so depressed that I didn't even know myself anymore. I was grieving for things I normally wouldn't notice. I also had severe abdominal pains, vaginal irritation and cried all the time. It was called Trinessa. But I'm sure there are more people with success stories than not. Good luck!
Question: im going to start the birth control named "cyclessa" how long do i have to wait ...? until my partner doesnt have to pull out, wear a condom ??
does it cause pain?
Answer: It takes a while to build the hormone up in your blood & your cervix to thicken from the hormones preventing pregnancy.
So I agree, use another barrier method for @ least one month.
Every woman's body is different, including yours. :)
Question: Cyclessa birth control questionnn? okay so im on cyclessa and when i got it i started the next day which is a friday and now i here that u shud start it the day u start your period ? so im confused now...will they still work? shud i wait and start a new pack the next time i start my period?
Answer: the normal start is the 1st sunday after your period starts. if your period starts on a sunday, you start that day. oral contraceptives work regardless
of when you start. the manufacturer says you're protected after you've taken 7 consecutive
tablets but i tell everyone to use a back up method for the first month. your body should
adjust but it may take 2 or 3 cycles. oral contraceptives are 99.9% effective in preventing
ovulation if you don't skip any doses.
Question: My wife is currently on Microgestin Fe 1/20 after previously being on Cyclessa...? During her expected period, she had very mild bleeding during intercourse as well as a brown taint to her blood earlier that morning. She has had no other bleeding at all. Does this sound like she may have missed her period? We are concerned about possible pregnancy.
Answer: Maybe, but it could be caused by the switch or how your wife reacts to this medication. The only way to know, though, is by taking a test. Be sure to have her use her first morning urine when testing.
Question: just started cyclessa birth control? i just started taking cyclessa from planned parenthood (today) the doctor said i should take my first one today because my period just ended. but later on, after taking it, i was reading the directions and it says you should take your first pill on the first day of your period. did i do this wrong?? like my period ended on the 9th and i started the pills on the 13th
is that okay? or what should i do?
Answer: As with all oral contraceptives..u have 2 options on when to start....1) First Day Start (which is the first day of your menstrual cycle or 2) Sunday Start (the Sunday after your menstrual cycle starts. I go to planned parenthood as well, and they advised me to do the Sunday start because it's easier to remember. I lucked out though, and actually had my cycle start on a Sunday! So for me, it wasn't hard to decide! Here's the link to Cyclessa's website though, where you can get further info if needed! Good luck!
Question: Cyclessa birth control? Anybody on this birth control? Has it given you and problems? I've been on ortho tri cyclen for 7 years but am now switching to cyclessa (its cheaper) thanks!
Answer: i was on ortho tri c. for a month or two but got terrible cystic acne from it. then i was put on mircette, then later on cyclessa. i have since taken cyclessa for almost 4 years now. i have no complaints. everyone is different, but cyclessa works (never got pregnant! lol) and i cant say i ever had side effects.
good luck
Question: How do I know my Cyclessa birth control is working? Obviously I wouldn't get pregnant, but I want to know how I can tell if they are working soon after I start taking them before I start having sex. I'm worried because I left them in a hot car for 4 hours so I want to know how I can tell if they are having an effect.
Answer: Im not familiar with this kind of birth control, so Id ask your doc about the effects of leaving them in the car.. Some meds say not to exceed a certain temperature. Also, with any BC pill, you should know it takes a while to get into your system. So if you just now start taking it and have unprotected sex, then you could still get pregnant. You should wait a few weeks, to be safe, until you have a period before you do. If you aren't married, you should be using a back up method anyway, for STDs. People never think it will happen, but when you are dating someone, it only takes a slip up with someone for you to catch something. And they say it is EVERYWHERE with teens now. Just be safe and talk to your doctor's office just to make sure.
Question: how do people that have the 'cyclessa' birth control pill like it? just like a little pro con list and what effects it had on you would be wonderful, i just got it today
Answer: I like it because of it's lower estrogen and progesterone content.
Question: Cyclessa question birth control? I've been on cyclessa birht control pils for about 2 days now (tonight will be the third time taking it) i take it at midnight every night and go to sleep maybe an hour to a couple hours later. In the morning however when i wake up i have a stomach ach is goes away but i end up having diraera..... are the pills still effecitce since it didnt happen until almost 10 hours later? please help.
thanks
Answer: I would talk to your doctor about switching brands if you keep having a problem until you find one you like. People have different reactions to different brands. I know the directions say that if you have diarrhea, then it can make it less effective, but it doesn't mean that it is. Also birth control isn't effective until a month after you are taking it. So if you continue to have that problem after the first month, I would talk to your doctor and use a backup method just to be safe.
Question: Cyclessa question? I am on the bc pill, Cyclessa. I've been on it since about November of last year. The first couple of months I had all sorts of side effects including increased outbreaks, dizziness, a little nausea, and sore joints. They said that would be normal until my body got used to it. On month three all my side effects were gone except the dizziness on week three. I still get dizzy on week three. Not like feels like I'm drunk dizzy but rather distracting dizzy. Is this normal? Should I consider switching bc pills?
Answer: Definitely consider changing brands. There are literally dozens of different formulations out there. If it is a tri-cyclic drug (3 different colors of pills + placebo) try going on a mono-phasic drug (one pill for the entire 3 weeks). It could have something to do with the change in chemicals every week.
Talk to your doc - bottom line is that if you're experiencing any discomfort for SEVEN months, it's time for a change. Don't take "NO" for an answer either! Be tough - it's YOUR body.
Question: PLEASE ANSWER! IS CYCLESSA A GOOD BIRTHCONTROL? im 15 and im starting this birthcontrol. I really dont know much so please tell me about this pill.
Answer: put out for him and you'll find out
Question: How can I skip my period when I missed a pill? I threw up my pill Thursday night (pill day 9), and I just kept taking my pills regularly. I had spotted lightly on Wednesday, and I have spotted more and more every day since, including the day I threw up the pill. This is my third pack of Cyclessa, and I skipped my period at the beginning of this pack for the first time. Today I am on the 12th pill in the pack. How can I stop the spotting, skip my next period, and be protected against pregnancy after I start the next pack?
Answer: The only way to stop the spotting (breakthrough bleeding) is to continue to take your pills as directed.
The spotting will stop eventually.
You should be able to skip your next period and be protected.
Question: What is the best birth control pill for someone who has an easily upset stomach? I have tried and gotten off Triphasil, Cyclessa and OrthoTriCyclen Lo all due to unbearable nausea.
For Isaiah G., you are a tool. I am married, moron, so I can screw or get pregnant all I want. Get out of here, this question is for women only, duh. You are probably only saying that because no one wants to bone you. ANYWAY...
Answer: try Loette or Mycrogynen they are both extremely low dosage and should not cause nausea or weightgain..
Question: Has anyone ever left their birth control pills in a hot car? I left my Cyclessa in the car for 4 hours and I'm wondering if they will still work. Does anyone have any experience with this?
Answer: They will still work, they are not temperature sensitive. Condoms would be ruined, the NuvaRing would be ruined. The pill can withstand heat. If they look like they are melted or something then that is another thing, you may need a new pack. But if they are just seriously hot and so is the case- they're fine.
Use a condom everytime anyway!
Question: How long does it take for a birth control pill to get into your system? I threw mine up.? I threw up after I took my Cyclessa pill. How long does it take for it to be safe to throw up after taking the pill?
Answer: After throwing up, you need to be on the pill for 7 days before you are safe again
Question: When can I expect my period when taking birth control pills? This is my first month taking birth control pills. I've gone through the 21 days of active pills, and have taken 2 inactive pills. When should I expect my period? I've heard that as long as it starts anytime during the week of inactive pills, it's fine. Is there anything else I might expect that I'm not aware of?
PS--I'm on Cyclessa.
Answer: It usually takes 48-72 hours for your body to realize that there's no influx of hormones and so start the menstrual process. So as an example, if you took your last pill on Thursday, you might expect your either today, Monday, or Tuesday at the latest.
Please bear in mind that even if your still bleeding when you're due to start your next pack of pills, DO take them. The bleeding will stop within a couple of days, and you'll eventually be regulated. Just take the pills day after day and don't skip for any reason (unless the doctor tells you to).
