Diazepam Injection
Question: Does anyone here use Diazepam injection? For seizure control? Does it work for you? Thanks.
Answer: It still works, although some other similar drugs may work a little better. It is used to treat Status Epilepticus-( q.v.) , not to control seizures long term. Too sedating for long term use.
Question: Staying on diazepam all my life? I have suffered depression and anxiety for 4 years and been suicidal.
Citalopram didnt work and im on prozac which so far isnt working.
Ive been prescribed diazepam until prozac kicks in and for the first time in my life I feel normal.
I'm thinking maybe it would be a good idea to just stay on diazepam for the rest of my life.
Diabetics carry insulin injections around with them all the time, so always having pills on me wouldnt be a problem.
Answer: I've suffered major depression and anxiety almost my whole entire life, and I'm 17 years old. I've had 3 suicide attempts so far, and almost succeeded.
I'm currently on 200MG of Zoloft, anti depressant, and 7.5MG of Abilify, anti anxiety.
I feel like I'm bipolar, but since I've been distracting myself using my friends and girlfriend, I haven't been getting too sad lately.
As you probably know, everyone reacts to medications differently.
You have to find the one that works for you!
If Diazepam works for you, then stick with it. If you feel like your depression/anxiety is going up and down, tell your Psychiatrist and you will probably get your milligrams increased. Your body can build a small immunity to the medicine if it's a low dosage.
Question: Could i get Valium / Diazepam for a one off piercing? Well, I'm 17. I have severe vasovagal reflex reaction's (Blood pressure drops resulting in my collapsing) when i come into contact with Injections and things similar to that. In the past i've just ended up vomiting and passing out (in my vomit...eugh..) only to wake up and discover that I have received the shot. And i was also restrained. I'm not a coward.I have a pretty high pain threshold and nothing else scares me too much, it's my only serious fear/phobia.
So, what I have been told recently by a doctor is that i could of taken a 5 - 15 mg Diazepam or Valium tablet which the doctor could of issued to me whilst giving me the shot. This would put me into a high intoxicated state by which there shouldn't be a problem giving me the injection.
Yes, I do want a lip piercing and Yes, I know it's a lot to ask for considering i can't even stay chilled out near a needle, but i would like to do it. Is it a possibility that i could receive just enough Diazepam/Valium (Or anything else to the same effect) to get me through the short 10 - 20 second procedure?
Thanks in advance, Really
JJ
Answer: He could, but it would be seriously irresponsible of him to do so. Valium only 'mellows' you out. There is a medical indication ie you benefit from getting a shot. There is no medical benefit from a piercing. Your insurance will not cover the drug either and he will be risking his license by giving you the drug.
Question: My 18 month old daughter suffers from febrile fits..? My 18 month old daughter suffers from febrile fits, every time her fever goes up (100 F +) she has
a fit that lasts between 5 and 35 minutes. Avg is 15 mins. She has generalized fits in which the
entire body is envolved. Once her fever goes above 100 F it is difficult to bring it down despite
paracetamol and suppositries and cold sponging. She has either a constant temp or the fever just
keeps on rising and falling the whole day or night long. She takes in epival syrup and rivotril twice a
day and in the case of a fit she gets diazepam injection and diazepam tablet (tab for 3 days long,
BD). Since not so long she has developed afebrile (no fever) fits in which she screams very loud,
stares blankly, becomes still and finally falls asleep. Why does she scream and why does she
suddenly have fits without fever............................................................................................ The last time she
had such a fit was when a new tooth erupted.
I forgot to mention that she has also been diagnosed with brain atrophy, it is worth mentioning that
her development is normal and ok but she cant walk alone yet (she does walk a few steps though).
Im v v v very worried. Any parents here with a similar case at home? Will my daughter be ok........ is
she ok?
Answer: Most babies outgrow febrile seizures. It's not an uncommon thing.
The walking, well, maybe you want an appointment with an orthopedist to make sure everything is ok.
The brain atrophy . . . is that active? That can be very serious. In any case, you should be getting your medical advice from doctors that have seen your baby, not strangers over the internet.
Good luck, and enjoy your baby.

she is ONLY 20 months old
Answer: I'm sorry to know about your daughter's condition. I would advise you to talk to a neurologist or pediatrician about her problems and recovery.
Question: Trapped nerve in my back? I've spent most of this afternoon in A&E with excruciating back pain, they think I'm trapped a nerve in my back. I had an injection of diclofenac and some diazepam while I was there, and I've been sent home on co-codamol 30/500, diclofenac, and diazepam. The injection helped a little bit but I'm still in a lot of pain, particularly when I move even if it's just a tiny movement.
Obviously I'll be taking the painkillers regularly, but what else can I do to help with the pain? It's really bad!!
Answer: Oh you poor poor love - having been there (several times!) and earned my very own t shirt, I feel for you, I really do.
To be honest, if you have trapped a nerve (and the muscles will almost certainly have gone into spasm as a result), there's not really an awful lot you can do to help, other than let time take its course.
For the first couple of days whilst the pain is so severe, you won't be able to do much other than try and find a reasonably comfortable position (easier said than done, I know). However, the sooner you can start mobilising, the better
The important thing to remember is that you are NOT going to do your back any damage by keeping on the move, even though it will feel like it's about to break every time you do more than breathe! It's really vital that you start to return to normal activities as soon as possible, no matter how much it hurts.
If the pain starts to travel down your legs and into your feet, and/or you experience any loss of feeling around your bum, please please return to A&E. Likewise, if you suddenly start having trouble with your bowels or bladder, as this could indicate that vital nerves are trapped.
Good luck, stay positive and remember, this WILL pass.
Hugs x
Question: Does valium really work? I am so scared of injections that everytime I go to a hospital or to a dentist to have an injection I took one... but I am still scared, no difference if I didn't take one...
I took diazepam about 30 minutes before the injection but I am still so scared... am I immune to valium or do I have some psychological problem??
Help people...
Thanks in advance..
Answer: You might not have had a strong enough dose. Also if you took the valium by mouth then 30 minutes may not have been enough time for it to start working in your system.. Discuss with your doctor a good dosage of medication to take for anxiety.

Question: IUS/marina fitting tomorrow Q&A? i am 16 and i am getting the IUS fitter tomorrow can anyone tell me what its like to have it fitted? and answer these questions for me please, if you can. I already no the facts through websites and leaflets ect and how they put it in im just looking for general opinions. and im a bit nervous because i have heard some horrible things i will be using diazepam (valium) 15 mg will that help?
what scale is the pain from 1 being the lowest to 10 being the highest?
what is the most painful part?
what kind of pain is it?
it says you cant feel the wires through intercourse but what about other sexual stuff?
i haven't had children so will it hurt me more or be harder to dial ate
how do they dialate my cervix?
what are the chances this will agree with me if the pill (pop) and parvo injection didnt?
Answer: I'm not going to lie: insertion is painful, especially if you've never had children. On a scale of 1 to 10, I'd say a 7 or an 8. HOWEVER, it feels just like menstrual cramps, only stronger, and it only lasted about 10 seconds and I would do it again in a heartbeat for the protection and lack of side effects again. Hell, if I had to do it every year, I would do it.
The most painful part, for me, was when they first dilate your cervix to measure how deep it is--I've also never had kids, so it does hurt a little bit more since your cervix has never been dilated before, but like I said it's just like cramping. It's really quick, the entire insertion took about 3 minutes, and like I said, I'd do it again in a heartbeat. The way they dilate your cervix is by inserting a very thin tube the measure, then they insert the applicator for the Mirena, which is like a super long, super skinny version of a tampon applicator, only sterile and plastic.
Before I got the Mirena, I had tried the injection and tons of pills and they all gave me migraines or made me really moody--the Mirena, though, is super, super, super, super low-dose and more or less localized to your uterus, so the side effects are far, far less. I absolutely love mine. My partner can't feel the strings at all during sex unless he sticks his fingers in to check for them beforehand, and even then he needs to poke around by my cervix a little bit to find them. He's pretty well-endowed, and it's never been an issue for him. For the first month they might be a little pokey, but you can always get them trimmed, and they soften up super, super quickly.
I hope that helps! Feel free to message me if you have any more questions.
Question: what happens when you use a diazepam injection? one of my friends used one and we dont even know wat it is
Answer: Don't listen to the dude who is encouraging you to shoot it up my crush the tablets. There is the injectable form and the pills. If you shoot the pills up the "filler" in the pill can go directly to your heart and kill you or at the very least plug up your lungs and blood vessels and make you very ill.
Question: do you think my vet did all they could? - people in the know please advise? on weds night my 10 year old cat appeared to have a slight stiffness in his hips/back legs. in the morning, he could not control his back legs, swaying everywhere. Panicked obviously, I called the vet and described it. They said they could not fit him in until 9.40am. He was still normal in terms of his demeanour and personality.
At the vets, they said looking at him, that it seemed like poisoning, that he was displaying neurological problems. BUT I had put bob martin's spot on on him the night before, first time as frontline ran out and vet was shut. She said it's well known for causing problems. And 1 week earlier, he'd had an abcess from a cat fight, quite close to his spine which had healed but which she said couldn't be ruled out.
At 11.30 she called and said he was the same, so she would do some blood tests and keep him on fluids. That she'd given him abath to wash off the bob martin stuff.
At 4pm, she called, said he'd had a fit but it could be from all the meds and stresses but now he could not walk on his front feet either. She said i would need to come down and pick him up and take him to the British Veterinary College in London but it would probably take me 2 hours now as it was rush hour traffic. Panicking, naturally I got myself to him asap, she said the blood tests were not back. He was heavily sedated and this upset me, she gave me a diazepam rectal tube in case he fitted again on the way.
They billed us £234, covered by insurance with the following items:
Consultation, Fluid Therapy, Urine Test, Extended Basic Profil (is this blood test?), Cerenia, Diazepam Rectal Tube (she said he was on diazepam anyway), valium x 2, Duphalyte, Synulox Rtu injection, Admin call to Vet Info Poison Service.
Almost at the college, i rang the vets for any blood test results. They said no nothing yet. I said what if it comes in after you shut, they said, well nothing we can do really. But the college will probably do their own anyway.
Then they called back and said high levels of quite likely anti freeze in his blood and honestly prognosis not good and that the college was expensive and dont be talked into treatment that i wasnt sure would help him.
At the college, they continued him on fluids. They'd received the blood test results from my vets and confirmed very high levels and his kidneys were not functioning properly.
By morning, his potassium levels had increased but were good but slowly drifting back up. They said that decision time but fluids were not enough and pertineal dialysis was the only shot for him. But that he would only have a 5% chance. Tough decision but emotionally I tried this dialysis. He made it through the operation and then 45 mins later had a heart attack and died. Completely distraught, I have now lost him.
I have to know that everyone acted in his interest and not their own. I have some questions to pose to the vets, I would like to know if a. These sound right things to ask and b. based on all i've said I have a good amount of reason to ask.
1. IF poison was suspected in the beginning (and since he died, the vet did say he was in the early stages of toxicity when i took him in), why did she keep him in on a bunch of maybe this maybe that for 6 hours, when she did not have the equipment to deal with a poison?
2. Did he really need ALL those meds leading up to his admittal to the college?
3. At what time was the call to Vet Info Poison Service made and why am I being billed £25 for this for information she did not know?
4. If poison was suspected, would blood test results, when in poisioning time is of the absolute essence, taking 6 hours be an acceptable amount of time?
5. If she did not have the facilities to help with poisioning, shoudl she have taken the precaution and sent me to the college immediately?
Please please help if you know your stuff here, I'm so devastated at losing my cat. I don;t want to talk to her like I'm looking to blame someone, but IF there is someone to blame, I want to make sure they are in the knowledge of being blamed.
Thank you so much in advance
Answer: I have to agree that the vets sound as though they acted in the best interest of the cat and could not of done any more. However I do think you are right to question them about the phone call they have charged you for as this seems to be a very unfair charge as it was not at your request that they phoned the poison service so why should you be charged for it? apart from this I think that your other questions are ones that should be kept for a while and when you have got over the shock of losing your cat re look at them and consider then if you would still like them to be answered. I am so sorry for your loss in such awful circumstances I hope I've helped :)
Question: I have had 3 seizures within a week and they have all been related to my grandfather, help? My grandfather just died a week ago. I have a seizure disorder but it is controlled and I only have one full blown a year. I need to note that stress has nothing to do with my seizures... I have been through a horrible breakup and a miscarriage and had no issues this year.
Seizure number one came at my grandfathers funeral as soon as we set foot on Catholic church grounds. I have Occipital lobe epilepsy due to an AVM that was removed but scar tissue aggrivates it. I carry around an injection and had to run into the bathroom and missed the entire service (plus scared my mother). I stopped it from going tonic clonic due to 20mg Diazepam.
24 hours later, I went into full blown tonic clonic nocturnal seizures after sleep paralysis and dreaming about my home where I grew up with my grampa always there. My boyfriend witnessed this and called my neuro who confirmed seizure.
3 days later, I was going thru my passed grandfathers clothing that I was going to donate to Goodwill. I found his wallet with his license, Veterans card, and money. I immediately called my mom who ignored my calls then his still living wife and told her I was driving over to drop it off. I started having seizure aura as soon as I hung up. I had to inject myself again with 20mg Diazepam to stop a full blown seizure.
Why does this all seem to circulate around my grampa? I went from one seizure a year to 3 a week in the week of his death. I haven't changed meds and have been under way way way more stress than this before, help?

Question: Kurt Cobain: Suicide Or Murdered? Who thinks Kurt committed suicide? Or do you think he was murdered?
I've read a lot about this, and I think Courtney was involved in it. I'm pretty sure she hired someone to do it.
Some info, just in case you don't know:
She offered a guy to kill him for $50,000. She said he was driving her crazy (they had a lot of problems at the time, and he was planning on divorcing her).
Her own father even said she was very capable of hiring someone. He even admits she's "crazy."
-There were no fingerprints found on the gun.
-The suicide note was clearly written to Cobain's fans telling them he was quitting the music business. There was only a short footnote to Courtney and Frances and several handwriting experts said it wasn't his handwriting.
COBAIN WAS INJECTED WITH 3 TIMES A LETHAL DOSE OF HEROIN!!
Cobain's heroin, (morphine), blood level was 1.52 mgs per liter. This would require a minimum injection of 225 mgs of heroin, three times a lethal dose, even for a hardcore heroin addict! The drug Diazepam, was also found in Cobain's blood system.
THE OBVIOUS QUESTIONS:
1. If Cobain injected himself with a deliberate heroin overdose, why would he ALSO shoot himself in the head with a shotgun, leaving his baby daughter - the love of his life - with horrific visual images to remember him by? Why not just "go to sleep" on the overdose and never wake up?
2. IF Cobain injected three times a lethal dose of heroin, COULD he then pick up a shotgun and shoot himself? Wouldn't he have been immediately incapacitated?
Based on the heroin, (morphine), blood levels found in Cobain's body, preliminary research indicates Kurt Cobain would have been immediately incapacitated. He could not have picked up that shotgun. He could not have pulled that trigger!

Suicide or Murdered?
Answer: Suicide-He was a raging drug addict the case has been thoroughly investigated and still ruled suicide.
Question: Why did my young ferret die? Please don't be harsh, I've cried six days solid. My young boy teddy, only 1 and half years old.
He started sleeping more, lost his appetite, very lethargic and began having seizures.
Emerg vet gave him antibiotic injection and glucose, he still fittted all night and i cried and tried to comfort him.
My own vet kept him in the next day, said he had trouble urinating and diahorrea.Gave me painkillers, antibiotics, special food and water to syringe feed him.
Did this hourly, never fitted that night.
The next day was still very lethargic, vet wanted put him to sleep but since seemed in no pain i took him home to say goodbye. She injected him with an anti-inflamatory and painkiller.
Shortly afterwards he started having seizures again and my sis and i decided we couldn't see him suffer any longer. The emerg vet put him to sleep on wed night.
I wish I'd taken him to the exotic pet hospital where they are experienced in ferrets.
i am torturing myself, did i poison him? With the odd sweet and bit of choc which i now know is bad for them or did he find a painkiller in my room? Or eat something else?
I am so devastated and the not knowing is killing me.
I did read up on ferrets and have an older one who is missing his friend. Teddy had a very sweet tooth though.
I now know that a small amount of diazepam would've helped his fits and i may have gotten him through to the morning to get him to the exotic animal hospital and my sweet, cheeky baby would still be alive. Yvonne x
Thanks, you have all been very kind. I actually have an older ferret i found in the street in a bad state.Had him a good few years and hes going strong.Misses his mate terribly. My sis says they can die of heartbreak at losing friend. If was to get him new companion would be a rescue one in need of a good home. As long as good natured as Freddy my big boy is a big softie and would get bullied x
Answer: Common illnesses with ferrets is Adrenal Disease, Diabetes and they are prone to tumors. If he had a sweet tooth and he got ahold of a lot of sugar I'd lean towards Diabetes maybe.
Its really normal hon for ferrets to die young of serious illnesses, this is why most people who have loved ferrets try to ward people off from getting one because people dont understand how much heart ache comes with getting one. This is why I suggest getting older ferrets from shelters, because they will die soon and its just nice to get a fuzzy who needs a home where it can live out the rest of its short life, instead of living in a small cramped cage waiting to die because people want the baby ferrets.
If you get another, adopt. Dont give it sweets just ferret kibble, chicken and water.
Question: Please help....My girlfriend needs a good doctor. She's slowly losing feeling/movement in her limbs........... ......one by one and the doctors are saying none of the things wrong with her are REAL!!! She can't go to the toilet without self catheterising and needs help from suppositories. She needs anti-sickness injections before she can take any tablets with water otherwise she just throws it back up 10 mins later. Her boobs have started lactating and hasn't had a period since October, but isn't pregnant. Everythings going at a snails pace at the hospital, but while the doctors are messing about changing her meds every few weeks and making her cry by embarrassing her in front of everyone (patients and visitors) by telling her that shes making it all up.....she's getting worse, her arms started aching now, her legs already packed in!!! Anyone out there clever enough to have any ideas????
She's been to both local hospitals and treat like crap at both local hospitals treat like crap at both of them. She found an African Locust in her dinner in the first hospital. They put her on Oxynorm, Oxycontin, Diazepam, Paracetamol, Gabapentin (although they stopped that today, for some reason), Sodium Docusate, Ondansetron, Metroclopramide, Cyclizine, Senna, Lactulose, Zopiclone, but, last night she couldn't have a Zopiclone (the sleeping tablet) because "they didn't have any on the ward"!!! One doctor suggested we 'stop all medication and see what happens'. But without them she's in agony with back pain, can't eat or drink anything, completely constipated and keeps throwing up. Another doctor suggested all the symptoms are 'psychological'.
Answer: Have your girlfriend make an appointment with a neurologist. There could be any number of things wrong with her nervous system...and a specialist would be best equipped with the expertise to help her.
There was an episode of "Mystery Diagnosis" or "Diagnosis Unknown" (can't recall which show) that had a young woman on that was experiencing the EXACT same symptoms, verbatem..and she had a GENUINE neurological problem. I'm kicking myself right now because I can't remember the disorder's name. I'm going to do some research now, and will "edit" this post as soon as I find it.
Question: Neck pain still bad after Diazepam and diclofenac and cocodamol...? Sorry its a bit long.... Three weeks ago i had a prostap injection which im having as treatment for endometriosis. I take very strong painkillers and have done for the best part of a year. At present i regularly take (daily) cocodamol 30/500mg 4 times a day, tramadol 100-150mg 4 times a day, diclofenac twice a day and when times get bad i also take temgesic under the tongue. I have to say they are pretty useless for my endo pain and my body has built up resistance to these drugs.
Anyway the day i had the jab i went shopping carried loads of heavy bags and that night my neck began to hurt, typical muscle pain. It got worse and i was walking crooked and couldnt sit right or sleep etc. I did heat treatment, a few very light massages nothing helped. I used non medicated heat rub (as im already taking the maximum nsaids in the diclofenac) still nothing. I had a brief 4 days where it hurt less but then it came back bad.
So i went to see my gp, the pain is at the back of my neck about an inch under my skull, more to the left, but its spread to the right where i have been holding it funny.. Doc has prescribed diazepam for 10 days so ive been on them for 3 days, narda. Not touched it, infact id say its getting worse. I have had to stop the tramodol but i can still take the diclofenac and cocodamol. I dont know what to do its driving me mad!! Be 4 weeks on monday. Hurts most when my head goes back, trying to lift my head up once it has gone back. Cant touch left ear to shoulder or chin to chest
I have been given a set of exercises to do by my doc, but my problem seem to be i cant get my head in the correct position to do them. Even after taking the diazepam
Answer: Lianne, please try these movements to see if they help. Sit in a chair and raise your left arm up as high as you can above the head. Note the height achieved with the outstretched fingertips then relax the arm. Now do the same with the right arm. You are going to find that one arm went up higher than the other so start with that arm. Raise that arm up as high and hard as you can for 30 seconds then relax it for 15 seconds. Repeat this twice more. Now do the opposite arm exactly the same way 3 times. Now turn your head to the left as far as it can go noting the endpoint of rotation then do the same to the right. Again one direction will rotate further so start there first. Turn the head as hard and far as you can in that direction for 30 seconds and then relax for 15 seconds. Repeat this twice more in that direction then do the same 3 movements to the opposite direction. Do these movements at least twice a day.
Question: Epileptics, how do you work? I have been forced back to work after losing my SSI case 5 times. My seizures are rare but when I do have one it's very violent and I need to inject myself with Diazepam to try and stop them.
I started a job with a security company because I want to be alone and away from people (watching cameras and gates) for most of the day. I am finding that sometimes I am away from my injection and can't gain access to it. It's a large syringe and I can't exactly carry it around all day. Also, I can tell everyone at work I have epilepsy but then I get the usual stares when I do.
I told one person and she follows me around at times when she sees me and goes "You ok today". Asks me all day long. How do you all cope?
It's Diazepam 20mg rectal gel for aura. I go blind for 40 mins. My partial seizures present as panic attacks or strange feelings (arm tingling) once a day.
Thanks all, it's reaally frustrating because I have been on 8 different combinations of medications and none work. I have been allergic to most of them and almost lost my liver. I am currently on 3,000mg Keppra and 150mg Topamax. I also had brain surgery and ir failed. I don't like people around me because they try to shove things in my mouth and usually panic and make it worse.
Answer: I have to agree with the 2nd answer, you're either not taking the right medicine or taking the right dosage. I take 200mg of carbamazepine twice a day and I have been seizure free since '83. The only reason why I managed to stay seizure free for this long is because I religious take my medicine, I don't skip meals or eat a lot of junk (eat mainly foods high in protein), I try to obtain adequate sleep (about 6.5 hours a night) but that is easier said than done, I don't drink or do drugs, I take Vitamins C/ D/ Zinc to keep from getting sick, and I try not to let me get stressed.
BTW, when I feel one coming my ears would always have a deafening ring and my visions becomes blurry. When this happens, I stop whatever I'm doing and go rest until the ringing stops/ my vision returns.
Question: Can anyone tell me the name for this phobia? Like a needle phobia but not quite? Okay, so I have this phobia, it mainly centres around needles. I can't watch someone being given an injection on TV, or see blood being taken, it makes my arms and legs go all weak and jellyish, I start breathing really quickly, sometimes I curl up in a ball and rock backwards and forwards, and a lot of the time I start laughing hysterically. As a result I have to look away.
It's worse in real life but with the same reaction, and if it's being done to me I just get so terrified it makes me feel sick, and I cry hysterically and try to get away and become like fixated on it, like I can't look away. After I tend to cry from relief and giggle a lot. Also syringes with a needle attached in general make me go all funny. Hearing people talk about it makes me go weird too. It's really annoying because otherwise I'd give blood but I literally can't. It's so bad that when my mother says 'You have to have that injection or you could die of tetanus (etc)', I am like 'I DON'T WANT THE INJECTION.' and when I had to have an operation on my mouth they had to knock me out with gas because I couldn't have the needle anaesthetic. I have also had to be given Diazepam (AKA Valium) before dental appointments when I've had to have local anaesthetic, so that I can be given the injection without freaking out too much and biting the dentist or something (barely worked).
I thought it was trypanophobia at first (fear of needles etc in medical situations) because sewing and drawing pins and stuff don't bother me. But the other day I got something stuck in my finger, it was like a needle I suppose but it wasn't as sharp because it was on an eyebrow comb. It pierced my skin and I totally freaked out.
So now I think it's more a fear of sharp objects piercing my skin, but not all things like that bother me; only specific things. Nail scissors don't, normal scissors do. A pencils sharpener blade doesn't, a knife does. Needles/pins do. I'm fine with the nail scissors etc if they break my skin; obviously I don't like it, but it doesn't make me really really panic. When the normal scissors etc pierce my skin, it makes me freak out and the thought makes me feel funny, but the objects themselves I'm fine with. It's also not the pain aspect; it might be a small part but it's just mainly the piercing of the skin. I was fine having my ears pierced with a piercing gun but with a needle it would have been a 'NO WAY' thing.
Can anyone tell me if there is a name for this? It's mainly the medical thing, but not totally.
Thank you.

I didnt actually read most of this wall of text, just skimmed enough to kinda know what you were talking about... sorta.
Hope this helps
Question: I am clearly disabled but can't win disability for seizures? I had a brain bleed in 03. I had brain surgery that left me with seizures. I have told my employer before hire.
I have tried 8 medicine combos. My seizures got so out of control I was given a rectal injection to give myself on aura. My aura consists of scintillating scotoma (blindness) that starts gradually and spreads over 40 mins. I have been able to stop grand mal seizures with this injection and due to this fact, I lost 5 cases of SSI and SSA over a period of 3 years.
I returned to work a month ago. I started going blind today and used the injection. However, I work security and explained to the nurse next to me I could not see and needed to stay put. I was told I needed to open a door immediately and went down a hallway where I couldn't even see the key to open it. I struggled with it and when I came back, I called my boss. The injection is rectal and 20mg Diazepam. I was unable to walk well the rest of the day and was told noone could fill my shift.
I was told I need to work the rest 8 hours. I am constantly treated like this at every job until I quit. Is anyone else treated this way? How can I ever get disability? I had a lawyer and lost. I live in PA. I have to get up again tomorrow morning and work although I am still knocked out from the partial seizure (ss is different for me, it always lead to grand mal) and 20mg Diazepam. I also have grand mal in my sleep and wake up with tongue bites. Im just exhausted at age 30. Help?
JMITW - State police and my doctor both fought in a suit that I WON because my aura is 40 minutes long and starts out as a tiny particle (smaller than a pin dot) of light in my vision. This is why I am considered ok to work and why noone can understand what the issue is because I look fine until I am flailing on the ground.
Answer: I don't know what you can do now, but I'd contact a good disability attorney, who specializes in disability cases and ask. Either your attorney wasn't worth a darn, or your problems have become worse since you were denied at that time. You need a history of your medical condition, doctors you have seen, and treatment you have received. You also need documentation of jobs you have lost because of your condition. Consult a disability attorney and ask what, if any, your options are now.
