Norflex
Question: what is norflex orphenadrine citrate? what happens if you take more than the recommended dosage? one of my friends decided to take it to get some sort of high and im just wondering if anything will happen.
Answer: Well Norflex is a muscle relaxant that also works as a pain killer. It is an opioid that will give the side effects of over dosing or mis dosing a strong pain killer. Like any medication, I would make your friend stop abusing them to get a high becuase there is always a chance of addiction.
Question: What happens when you snort norflex?
Answer: is an anticholinergic drug of the ethanolamine antihistamine class with prominent CNS and peripheral actions used to treat painful muscle spasm and other symptoms and conditions as well
Question: Can you get high from taking norflex?
Answer: It CAN make you hallucinate... other than that, no, its a muscle relaxant not a pain killer :L
I really don't advise it though - it's best to just avoid everything drug-related.
Plus, hallucinations are dangerous.
Hope this answered your question! :)

Question: what is the pill norflex used for?
Answer: Orphenadrine (Norflex) is generally used as a muscle relaxant. Primarily, it is used for conditions that result in acute pain in skeletal muscles (the one's you use for movement!). Anyhow, this drug is actually structually related to the active ingredient in Benadryl but clearly has different effects.
Note that, in general, orphenadrine is intended to decrease skeletal muscle spasms and pain (analgesia) by exerting actions in a specific portion of the brain... along with peripheral nervous system actions at cholinergic neurons (in this case neurons that lead to skeletal muscle contraction)
Question: What is a good prescription muscle relaxer? I am taking Norflex (orphenadrine citrate) 100mg twice a day right now and it is helping a little but I am wondering what would be bit stronger and wouldn't knock me on my @ss. It should be specifically for targeting my neck muscles.
Answer: Cyclobenzaprine (Flexeril) works well.
Question: will norflex get me high and if so how many 100 mg tablets should i take?
Answer: Although a muscle relaxer, it can still make you high since it affects the brain to ease the pain and relax the muscle. It has also been found to cause serious side effects, when used for an extended period of time. It is desribed a little bit on wikipedia as having anticholinergic properties, so the high would most likey be like dramamine, which from personal experiance and back up by thousands is anything but a pleasurable experiance as the hallucinations seem really real and also really fucking scary. So i wouldnt.
Question: People on anxiety meds like : How do you sleep when you run out and have to wait for a refill? I have tried muscle relaxers (2 Norflex) and 2 benadryls. I cannot go to sleep but I am so tired. I just go lay in bed and stare and toss and turn. Why aren't those muscle relaxers knocking me out?
Answer: Negative emotions (like sadness, stress, anger, etc.) causes your Serotonin production to be low; when your Serotonin level is low, you are more prone to getting Anxiety, Panic Attacks, Depression, etc.
Medication like Antidepressants (SSRI - Selective Serotonin Reuptake Inhibitor) helps to boost Serotonin level.
But there are natural ways to do it without medication. There's this strange herb called "St John's Wort" - it is said to be more effective than Prozac. No, it is not for mild depression only and ignore those sayings. In fact, it does help anxiety and panic-attacks as St John's Wort works like prozac. Other natural ways will be exercise, diet, more exposure to light, etc.
The problem is that, even if your Serotonin is balanced... you have that "learned behavior" in your mind. You need to break that initial cycle to destroy that learned behavior - Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) does this. A technique that you can use without CBT will be Distraction... There are several other techniques to help cope them!
Ok, to use Distraction: Firstly, try to....

Question: Dog ate Valium and norflex? I cuaght it and indused vomiting with peroxide, the dog is doing fine now but would he have died from this?
Yeah he ate the plastic bottle too....well most of it. Hes a big retarded Rott who so far has ate just about everything that they say should have killed him. Like the toilet cleanser thing, batteries, he even ate like a 1 lb chocolate bunny on Easter. After this I think he will need to be kept in his dam cage 24/7 although thats harder on me that it is on him.
Answer: The valium might have made him lazy for a day or so.
Question: Is orphenadrine going to make me euphoric and loopy? My physician prescribed orphenadrine (aka Norflex) to help with some back and leg pain. He said I should take it as I need it, but I am nervous to take it at all. The side effects are described as making people euphoric, lightheaded, dizzy, and nauseated.
I live alone so I am always nervous when I get into more serious medications like this. What should I expect?
Answer: Very few side effects if any. Surely not loopy and not like soma where it relaxes whole system and makes you feel sick.
Question: Does Norflex contain Aspirin?
Answer: No.
Each Norflex Extended-release Tablet contains 100 mg orphenadrine citrate. Norflex Extended-release Tablets also contain: calcium stearate, ethylcellulose, and lactose.
Question: whats the difference between soma and norflex? orphenadrine cit.100mg.e.r.tab is norflex
i dont know the dosage of soma i had .
is it as good as soma
Answer: Soma (carisoprodol) is far superior. It relaxes both the skeletal and smooth muscles. For example, if you have back spasms, Soma will relax the skeletal muscles involved. If you have intestinal spasms, Soma relaxes the smooth muscles.
Soma comes in 350mg tablets. It is metabolized in the body to meprobamate, which is a tranquilizer.
Question: I'm a little allergic to Hydrocodone, and have been prescribed 10 Darvocet Tablets, will I be ok? Also, I have a final tomorrow, so should I not take my Darvocet and Norflex before my final?
I'm taking this medicine for lower back pain.
Answer: I have lower back pain too (5 pinched nerves) I have taken vicodin once for it in 3 years depending on you tolerance for pain meds you should be fine and able to concentrate on you final as long as you take it as prescribed. About the allergies you need to call any pharmacy and ask about the ingredients to be on the safe side. Plus drink plenty of water as well with those meds.
Question: can you mix norflex and vicodin?
Answer: Yes, you can take them together. I was prescribed that combination for TMJ pain several years ago. Remember that Norflex is a controlled release medication; don't crush it or chew it.
Question: person allergic to aspirin. can she/he take norflex?
Answer: It might be best to ask your pharmacist--or discuss that with your doctor. Sounds like it is a habit forming drug--so this should have been discussed with your doctor.
Question: Any one have any sure fire home remedies for muscle ahces & pain in the neck & shoulder area? A few days ago, I woke up with a terrible crick in my neck & it feels like I have a pulled muscle in my neck down to the back of my shoulder. I have tried heat pads, massage, Vicoprofen (a combination drug of Vicodin & Ibuprofen), & Norflex (muscle relaxer). Nothing I have done has helped. If you know of something I haven't tried, please help! Thanks.
Answer: Sorry to say...it'll have to work itself out.
Question: Any doctor's here? I have been feeling really bad lately and been having pain in the back lower portion of my. head, beneath the base of my skull. Then the pain moved down into my right shoulder and deep into both of my ears. Along with this, I have been nauseated off and on, headaches and sweats, no appetite, just extremely thirsty. The other day I ended up in the ER with it. They ran 4 xrays and a catscan of my head and chest, said everything looked alright! They send me with pain pills and muscle relaxers, (Vicoden and Norflex). The pain in the back of my head doesn't hurt as bad, but I'm still nauseated. They said I showed no signs of a tumour or anurnism. My family doctor is not available until October 12th! Any advise? What could be wrong with me?
I wasn't in any kind of an accident, no trauma, I just woke up feeling bad one morning with all of this, it got worse and hasn't left.
Have any of you ever experienced such a crasy thing as this? If so, what was wrong with you to make you feel like this, especially the sickness on the stomach?
I've already been to the emergency room, they ran the xrays and he catscan yesterday, gave me the prescriptions and released me. They tried to say I may have a muscle problem in my neck, stretched wrong, but it's more than that I think. My family doctor is on vacation.
Answer: Out of curiosity, how long did you have standing water in your basement, from the flood? I'm wondering if this has anything to do with the clean up of that. :-/
Question: After Car Accident: Weight Gain, chest strain, hand and wrist strain? HELP! I have gained 8 pounds!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The car accident was friday and i have been in terrible pain. HELP! I am taking vicodin, ibuprofen, and norflex per the doctor.

Question: Need advice about drug interactions? I have been prescribed a lot of meds for back pain recently. I am worried about there interactions. I have been given Norflex, Neurontin, and Mobic. I am also taking Paxil for biolar disorder. Is this a safe mix of drugs? Should I space them out through out the day or can I take them together?
Thanks
Answer: Well you doctor should be aware of all the medications you are taking, they wont prescribe another too you if they have been proven to interact negatively.
Question: Drug interactions with my medication...??? Help!? I recently purchased "SuperSciaticaRelief" and it contains...Bromelain, Boswellia, Devil's Claw, White Willow Bark, Ginger, Valerian Root, Hops, Cayenne, and Echinacae. My doctor has me on Percocet, Ibprofen, and Norflex (muscle relaxer) Can I take the SuperSciaticaRelief pills with the medication I am on? Any drug interactions between these natural remedies and the prescriptions??
Answer: I would not mix that with the pills you are already on. Especially since they are muscle relaxers. I know because I have Sciatica and are also on muscle relaxers (soma) and my doctor suggested not to take any herbal medications with my current medication. You can call CVS and ask the pharmacist too & see what they say. I would'nt want to mix Devil's Claw with anything if it was me. Herbs are nice in tea but really don't do much else. Good Luck!
Question: please give it your best shot, in need of help? been having dull dispersed muscle pain in my back. It spread from my neck and shoulder down to my hip and buttocks. It also makes my arm and leg feel very uncomfortable.
The pain is mainly on the left side of the body but i do get it also on the right side
following is a list of test I've run:

Blood tests including thyroid hormones and that came back fine also.
Other symptoms include:
-hand tremor
- muscle weakness
-anxiety
-minor headache with dull pain behind the eye on the same side of the pain
-shallow sleep.
Doctors seem that the pain is psychosomatic, Here are some of the medications i tried
painkillers: advil
deanxit (anti stress drug)
muscle relaxants ( norgesic, norflex, and legaflex)
antiinflamatory (xefo)
xanax (0.25 mg 3 times a day)
SSRI ( cymbalta)
cymbalta got my spirit up but i didn't find pain relief yet! any help or feedback is appreciated
Answer: I hope I spell this right, but go see a chiropractor.Mds think they are witch doctors, but they can do miraculious things.
I have seen one off and on for years. Lot's of folks swear by them. You would be surprised what a tiny pinched nerve somewhere will do to your overall outlook on life and make you hurt like the devil.
Since you have done all of that stuff, what do you have to lose?

Another very commonly prescribed medication is orphenadrine, sold under the brand name Norflex. One should be aware of the fact that orphenadrine is actually a diphenhydramine, a Benadryl look-alike in terms of its activity and mechanism of action.
