Answer: tough to say........while I haven't had any personal experience with Z-maxx I have with some others........I will tell you as a 15 yr technician that in general the claims made by these companies is generally not true.......your money would be better spent on maintenance items that will make your car last longer than any additive will.......If you do your oil changes every 3000 miles you motor will stay fairly clean inside and last a long time.......keeping a car running for a long time involves doing your maintenance by the book and driving like you have sense......there is NOT some magic additive that will allow you to ignore your car .....and take care of the little problems before they become big problems!!!!!

Question: Can you explain how zmax works and how many types of zmax are there and what do they do for your motor? so i have a dodge ram hemi rumble bee and i defintly want to keep my motor and transmission in good shape. so how can Zmax help me with this? and what do you recommend for me and my truck?

Answer: Sit on the side with single letter sections ( The John Force Grandstand) in B or C up as high as you can get. You will be closer to the action because they use this side of the track for most of the racing. If you wanna get blown away stand by the fence when the nitro cars are on. :D Have Fun. Question: Can ZMax for oil be used in sythetic oil? I only use Mobile 1. Z-Max made a big difference when I used it in my gas tank. I noticed there is a "starter pack" with I believe gas, transmission, and oil. Anyways can I use the oil one in synthetic oil? I can't find the info anywhere else. Or can it only be used with conventional?

Answer: Their website says it is compatible but you really don't need it with synthetic oil, due to its high detergent qualities. http://www.zmax.com/why/benefits/

Answer: zMAX will be compatible with conventional as well as synthetic. Don't worry. In fact, according to their studies, it does not even mix with the oil. Their claim is that the product soaks (i.e., gets absorbed) into metal surfaces. I have given you the link to that below. So if you believe their claim, go ahead and use it with any type of oil. Be aware however that many of their claims were heavily challenged by the Federal Trade Commission some time back. If you are paying extra for synthetic oil, yous protection will be superior regardless that you may not need to pay for this. Having said all that, I have used zMAX myself in the past with Mobil 1 5W30 and 0W30. Did not notice if it helped, but definitely can't say it harmed either. Question: Is Zmax motorcycle formula the same as the car Z-Max formula? I bought the Zmax motorcycle formula instead of the zmax for your car.But they look they same and was wondering is it safe to go ahead and put in my car?

Answer: Sure. But I will say that if you are doing it because it tastes bad, you'll just wind up making an entire glass of bad tasting liquid to drink. Just drink it undiluted quickly and get it over with.

Answer: The best product on the market is called BG44K fuel additive and it works so great that its guaranteed. We use this in all of our customers vehicles and its recommended every 6 months or 6000 miles. You can get this at any automotive repair shop and or at any dealership as long as they sell it......you cannot buy this at auto parts stores..

Question: would you use zmax with royal purple oil? i just did a oil change and i sed royal purple oil for the first time so im wondering if i should use zmax with it or will the additives in the royal purple do the same thing the zmax does

Answer: Zmax is just mineral oil. It's a waste of money, and has been proven to actually increase the corrosion inside your motor. Like most thing's that sound too good to be true, they are. Royal Purple on the other hand, is a great oil

Question: Can i take zmax(antibiotic) with Tylenol? I have something like an upper respiratory infection and my doctor prescribed me zmax antibiotic but i also have a fever so can i take tylenol with that antibiotic?

Answer: there's no problem taking tylenol with azythromycin (zithromycin, z-pak, zmax).

Question: What is the best oil additive for a four cylinder? What`s the best oil additive for a four cylinder. There are so many. I think zmax?

Answer: NONE..........the additives will accumulate over time and clog the oil returns in the heads not to mention reducing flow in the cam and crank journals.....use regular or synthetic motor oil and change it regularly...... spend the 20 bucks for the additive on an air filter or PCV valve or transflush.or you get the idea... keep up your maintenance and leave the engine killing additives for the easily duped!!!!!! good luck!!

Answer: never heard of it

Question: Excel Help: Why is my bell curve showing a left tail in the negative? I am doing a distribution of processing times where the average is 14 hrs and the standard deviation is 13 hrs. The left part of the tail is extending into the less than zero, so when I run a cumulative probability it shows a 14% chance of a value less than 0! How can that be if (1) You can't have negative time to process something, and (2) none of my data set shows negatives. Please help! I think I may have incorrect Zmin and Zmax or an incorrect methodology with Excel.

Answer: A bell curve (normal distribution) is not an appropriate model for your data. The range for the normal distribution is (-infinity, +infinity). If your values must be positive then a different model is necessary. Perhaps a truncated normal distribution (truncated at zero) or exponential distribution. This is not, in my mind, an Excel question but a basic science question.

Answer: Drain coolant from drain valve on the bottom of radiator. If it doesn't have one pull off the lower radiator hose. Should take 4 or 5 quarts of oil. Drain oil and then take off filter then put new filter on. Trans pan has to come off to drain fluid. You don't need royal purple or Zmax. Any cheap oil is fine for that thing. You might get a service manual it will help with all these procedures.

Question: I took Zmax yesterday and ear drops....? I went to the doctor yesterday for ear problems (I posted another question about it) and hearing loss. The doc gave me a bottle of ZMax that i had to take like a shot (like a shot of tequila, no needles) and it gave me stomach problems. She also told me to go to CVS and get an earwax removal kit and do every other ear a night (right ear tonight, left tomorrow) . I don't remember how long she said it would take for the meds to have done their duty. I think it was a week, but I'm not sure. She said that if I still wasn't hearing, she'd refer me to an audiologist. Ok, the problem isn't that it scewed up my stomach, I know exactly why it did that. I wanna know HOW LONG to wait.
